The time has come! After endless trials and tribulations, our Executive Chef Angelo, has finally given his seal of approval for the newest addition to our special diets menu – our gluten-free pizza base.
Unlike other run-of-the-mill GF pizza bases out there, ours are made to order – so no freezer burns here, buddy. We’re able to cook these bases in the same oven as all the others because they’re cooked in a separate tray; so it’s still totally Italian, just without the risk.
After crunching the numbers, we chose the five restaurants with the highest demand for gluten-free food to test out our new pizza bases: Bluewater, Newcastle, Earls Court, Notting Hill and Farnham.
All we need now is your feedback. Once you’ve tried one of our new Gluten-Free pizzas, you’ll be given a feedback form to fill out. At the end of the trial, we’ll be able to see if the pizza is a hit or if we need to keep working on it before we launch it company wide.
Much like the general election (but way more important of course) every vote counts. So come down to one of the five specially chosen restaurants to try our new gluten-free pizza and let us know what you think.

As a recently diagnosed coeliac this is very exciting! Farnham here I come! When will this be happening?
Hi Laura, it’s already live in those restaurants now. Hope you love it and can’t wait to get your feedback!

I agree! Please can we have Gluton free Pizza’a in Taunton

Please roll it out to Scotland too!!! Very few Italian restaurants offer this due to cross comtamination concerns so it would be great.
Did you forget the Midlands ? Can’t wait to taste it
Don’t live at one of those locations but definitely gets a thumbs up from me!
SO SO PSYCHED FOR THIS! Cannot wait for you to roll it on out to the rest of the country so I can treat my brother to one of your scrumptious pizzas

Tried the new pizza today. Very impressed by your head chef’s enthusiasm & care. It’s a great start. We hope our fans & other coeliacs will give you some positive & honest feedback to make the best base ever. Keep up the staff training to avoid cross contamination & we think you have a real hit! A plea though – pls do add a good Gluten Free Beer to your menu. We all know that pizza & beer are made to go together!
Please bring this to Cardiff!
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease bring it out nationwide!!! I have so missed going out for a pizza with my mates.
Please bring this to Notts! FInding out you did gluten free pasta literally changed my life!! I could go on a date!! x x x
I visited a Zizzi’s for the first time at Easter in London overlooking the Thames. The gluten free pasta dish I had was fantastic and I now look forward to being able to try the pizzas. Is the trial on for a limited time only or will you keep it going until you roll them out to other branches, as may not be near one for another couple of months. Will tell my daughter though as she too is a coeliac.
Please, please, please can we have in Milton Keynes & London. I m desperate for decent gluten free pizza. I just recently discovered Zizzi’s and just love your food.
Just been to the Zizzi at Earl’s Court – tried their new gluten free pizza. Fantastic! So pleased with the fact that it’s freshly made, under a controlled system rather than some awful frozen product. It really does taste like a proper Italian thin crust. Well done Zizzi and thanks to your development team for coming up with this.
Great news, looking forward to this coming to Harrogate soon!
This is great news. We have a nine year old who would love to go for a gluten free pizza. How about a trial in Scotland – please!!!
Bring it to the Trafford Centre. Can’t wait to try it!!
How long this this trial on for?x
Hi Anna – We’ve supplied those restaurants with enough ingredients to make 50 gluten free pizza bases each – we didn’t want to put a time limit on it but once they’re out we’ll gather the feedback and hopefully get to roll it out every where else.
Please, please, please, please please bring GF pizza to Shrewsbury!!!!!
Had to go all the way to Norway to find a restaurant that did GF pizza and it was heaven!!! I will eat there everyday if that will help to persuade you!!!!!
Please bring this to Croydon. I am going on Wednesday to try the pasta for the first time since being diagnosed as a Coeliac.
HOORAAAY I live in Redhill and think the trip to either Farnham or Bluewater is well worth the drive to try one of these, non-coeliacs will not really understand why we are all so excited about a pizza base but thank you Zizzis for understanding why we are!
Please bring this to Bristol…I love eating at Zizzi Cabot Circus but salivate over my friends pizzas and am getting bored with the gluten free options xx
I went to zizzi Bluewater specially for my birthday to try the wheat/gluten free pizza and….. it was delicious! It was also the first time in years I was able to have a pizza and not feel bloated looking like a 9 month pregnant woman! It was amazing! Please please please offer this in all zizzi restaurants!
Fantastic news! My daughter is on a GF diet and this will definitely make us visit Zizzi more often. Bluewater here we come!

Hi, can anyone tell me how long the trial is on for in Newcastle please?
Hi Lisa, we haven’t set any time limits for the trials – each restaurant will just keep running it until their GF ingredients run out. It’s worth giving them a ring on: 01912618360
to find out how many they have left in stock before your next visit. Hope this helps!
