\nMANAGEMENT PROGRAMME
During your induction there's a fair amount to absorb, but it's fun, and involves a lot of dinners. Expect workshops, reviews and quizzes to support your development and test your knowledge. At the end of the programme there's a training review/appraisal, pass this with flying colours, and hey presto - you'll earn your wings. Off you go as a fully-fledged General Manager or Assistant Manager to run your very own restaurant.
Week 1 to 5 This initial 5-week period is what we call your Management Induction. Sounds heavy? It isn't. You’ll spend the first 2 weeks in the kitchen, and then 1-week front of house (waiting tables etc), followed by 2 weeks learning how to run a great shift. During this time you'll have a training manager and a buddy to support you through your programme.
Week 6 to 12 The best learning takes place day to day. After you’ve steered through your induction successfully there comes the exciting bit - you’ll be handed the keys to your own restaurant. Here your ambitions become reality as you'll continue your training ‘on the job’ here for the next 6 to 12 weeks. During this period you’ll also be attending ‘off the job’ workshops to develop your skills further. It’ll be a busy old time, but don’t worry - your buddy and Operations Manager are never far away.
\nRESTAURANT TEAMS
Waiters and waitresses The serving team are the face of Zizzi. As a member of our Waiting Team you’ll have your own trainer to take you through a 1-month induction. You'll learn the key skills of your role and complete quizzes and daily reviews to test your knowledge. You’ll be observed on shift by your Manager on the quality of your service and will graduate on successful completion.
Kitchen The kitchen is where the action happens. As part of our kitchen team you’ll have a structured training programme, which will vary according to your role. You’ll take the opportunity to learn all about our food and how we deliver a great quality service the Zizzi way. Your work will be observed throughout and there will be tests to support your training, ensuring you satisfy your ambitions while meeting our customers' expectations.
