Veggie friends…look away now

Steak.

Pan-grilled with mushroom, just how you like it.

Then sliced and diced and mixed through salad leaves, red onion, cucumber, tomato and white balsamic.

This is no ordinary salad. This is our Bistecca e Funghi salad..it combines fresh greenery with the majestic/delicious animal that grazes from it, vastly improving the 5-a-day requirement. Step aside vegetables, steak is stealing the spotlight.

As we move away from warmer weather, we need to replace it with warmer dishes and ease the transition. But just because our bodies don’t crave fresh crisp garden salads when there’s snow out, we can certainly trick them by mixing in warm steak and mushrooms, remaining pretty healthy while staying satisfied…not too shabby for a salad.
