Tea-Cup Lighting and Milk Bottle Chandeliers

The time has finally come. Our newest restaurant is now open in Harrogate!

For months we’ve had our talented team of designers hard at work pulling inspiration from the local community to build ourHarrogaterestaurant. When you’re located in one of the most beautiful spa towns inNorth Yorkshire, local inspiration is easy to find.

Betty’s Tea Rooms started in Harrogate in 1919 and have since made a name for themselves all overYorkshire. Inspired by their history, we’ve created a specially designed Tea Room. With saucers and teacups spotted along the walls this room is totally unique from the other two in the restaurant. Flushes of pink, red and orange create a lighter atmosphere and make it the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon tea.

Our kitchen and bar area have been transformed into a Milk Parlour with creative features such as milk bottle chandeliers, and higher seating to give it that “parlour bar” feel. It’s our way to pay homage to The Milk Marketing Board who created such ingenious slogans as “milk’s gotta lotta bottle” or “is your man getting enough?”. For the 1950s, this was the epitome of edgy.

Or you could always join us in the lower area for a picnic…and we can guarantee it won’t rain. Ok…it won’t ever rain because it’s indoors, but that’s just a minor detail.Harrogate’s filled with picturesque gardens and beautiful scenery; creating The Park was our way of bringing some of those outdoors to our restaurant. With park tables and chairs it’ll always be the perfect picnic-ing weather…even if it’s below 0C outside.

But don’t take our word for it, come see it for yourself. On February 4th we’ll be opening our doors to the brand new Zizzi Harrogate and we hope to see you there! Bookings can be made by phoning 01423 530505 or online at http://www.zizzi.co.uk/venue/index/harrogate
