To all our Zizzi Customers,

Thank you for checking in on us. Given the current guidance around social distancing and staying home wherever possible, our Zizzi restaurants, including our takeaway and delivery operations, are closed for the time being.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and the wider communities surrounding our restaurants is our number one priority. With the restaurants standing empty, we are doing everything possible to look after our teams during these tough and unprecedented times.

Now more than ever, we believe that no good food should go to waste. As we closed our restaurants, our brilliant teams made sure that leftover ingredients went to members of their local community who would benefit from them the most, such as NHS workers and emergency services. Food in our warehouses was donated to the Felix Project, reaching vulnerable people, the homeless, people struggling with their mental health & those who simply cannot afford to buy regular, healthy food up and down the country.

Please bear with us as most of our head office support team have also had to clock off while we protect our business and teams through a period of hibernation. We want to thank you for the support you’ve shown for our business and our teams at this difficult time and we’re looking forward to seeing each of you when we’re back open again.

We hope all our customers are staying well, and I would once again like to say a special thank you to all of you who are working round the clock to keep us all safe.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Heeley
Managing Director

NB. we’ve tried to think through some of the questions you might have whilst we are in hibernation and can’t respond directly.  Please click below to see FAQs for further details on gift cards, team policy and more.

To Zizzi Customers,

Last Wednesday we chose to temporarily close our Zizzi restaurants and continue with a takeaway and delivery service only. Today we have decided to close these operations, with immediate effect.

We want to thank you for the support you’ve shown for our business and our teams over the last few days. However, following the government guidance on social distancing and staying home wherever possible, we believe it’s in the best interests of our amazing teams to suspend our takeaway and delivery services too for the time being. We will be ensuring that our ingredients go to food banks and those that would benefit from them the most.

We are doing everything possible to look after our Zizzi teams during these tough and unprecedented times.

We hope all our customers are staying well, and I would once again like to say a special thank you to all of you who are working round the clock to keep us all safe.

We’re looking forward to seeing each of you when we’re back open again.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Heeley
Managing Director

To Zizzi Customers,

I’m writing to let you know that we have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close all Zizzi restaurants across the UK, from 4pm on Wednesday 18th March 2020.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and the wider communities surrounding our restaurants is our number one priority. Following the latest government guidance asking people to reduce social interaction where possible, we believe choosing to temporarily close our restaurant space is the right decision.

A few of our restaurants will continue to operate a takeaway & delivery service only so that our customers can still enjoy food from our restaurants. Please visit our website to find out if your local Zizzi is offering this service: https://www.zizzi.co.uk/takeaway

We will be doing everything possible to look after our Zizzi teams during these tough and unprecedented times.

We hope all our customers are staying well, and I would like to say a special thank you to all of you who are working round the clock to keep us all safe.

We’re looking forward to seeing each of you when we’re back open again.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Heeley

To Zizzi Customers,

As the Managing Director of Zizzi restaurants I wanted to write to keep you up to date on what we’re doing across our restaurants following the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Most importantly, we want to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of our customers and team members is our number one priority.

As a restaurant business, we already have in place stringent controls to prevent the spread of illnesses. This includes monitoring our staff for any signs of illness, as well as a robust cleaning and disinfection regime which includes sanitising all areas and contact points in customer areas such as doors, door handles, soap dispensers and toilets.  This takes place regularly throughout the day as well as prior to opening and at closing time.

Given the current situation, we have put in additional health and hygiene measures across all restaurants:

  • We are reminding all our team members to wash their hands for 20 seconds, every 20 minutes.
  • We have arranged for additional deliveries of hand sanitizer and cleaning materials into restaurants.
  • We are providing our teams with the latest advice from PHE to ensure everyone who works for Zizzi understands their role in looking after themselves and our customers. This includes ensuring every individual who works for us understands the symptoms and when to self-isolate.
  • We are no longer providing large condiment bottles on tables – please just ask us for an individual serving.
  • We’ll also be sanitizing chip and pin devices after each use.
  • Finally, we’ll do everything possible to accommodate individual customer requests for particular seating arrangements.

If you do feel unwell, we encourage you to stay at home to recover and enjoy your favourite Zizzi dishes on Deliveroo (who have launched a non-contact drop-off service), or via our own click & collect service.

We will continue to remain in close contact with our teams and monitor the Public Health England guidance, so that we can react quickly as the situation evolves to protect our customers and team members.

Yours sincerely,

Harry Heeley
Managing Director, Zizzi
